The Youth Pastor's Institute has been developed to raise up effective ministers and leaders who are called to reach junior high and high school age students. Students will have the opportunity to not just learn biblical ministerial theory but will actually get to put it into practice in a living breathing youth ministry. These are just a few of the skills taught and practiced:
- Leadership Link: How to capture the senior leadership's vision and follow through with it in a relevant means.
- Team Building: Casting vision, learning how to effectively pull others in and equipping them to run with the vision God has given.
- Outrageously organized: Organization can make or break ministry. Having policy, guidelines, monthly planning and event responsibilities are crucial to set in place. When these important tasks are clearly planned out leadership is much stronger and people can work as a team going in the same direction.
- Simple Service: Sermon preparation, developing a order of service, time management and spirit sensitivity are just a few items that help ensure students are being cared for and lives are changed every time you gather.
- Dedicated Discipleship: Creating effective means by which you are able to observe and track students personal decision making and spiritual maturity.
- Problem solving: As long as there are teenagers there will be issues. Learn how to listen, counsel and resolve issues in a way that strengthens all parties involved.
