What is Masters Commission?

Masters Commission is an intense 9 month discipleship-training program dedicated to building strong, lasting young men and women of God. The goal of Master’s Commission is to provide an environment in which the students can grow and change dramatically by focusing their time on their foundation, relationship with God, and future.

What are the dates of the Hollywood Master’s Commission Program?

The official start date for Hollywood MC is Sunday October 4th,   there will be a 2 week Christmas break from Dec. 20th through Jan. 3rd.  Graduation for MC will be on Sunday June 6th

How much is 1st year tuition?

First year tuition for the 2009-2010 session is $4400.00.

When does tuition need to be paid?

There are 2 options for paying tuition. The first is that the full 4400.00 is paid on or before the beginning of the MC year. The second option is that half (2200.00) is paid on or before the year starts, the second half (2200.00) is paid after the two-week Christmas break.

What does tuition include?

Tuition covers furnished dorm-style housing, curriculum and materials, and any potential in-country trips. Missions Trips (optional), food, and extra curricular activities are not included and are the responsibility of the student.

Why is food not included in the tuition cost?

Food is Currently not covered in the cost of tuition for a few reasons, one being that as of now the Oasis Facility does not have the space for additional food beyond their needs. Students should have a monthly support base of $50-$100 a month to cover food and any personal needs.

There are many food options located around the Oasis Facility in many different cost brackets.

Where will Master’s students live?

Master’s will be ministering out of as well as housed in the dorms of the Oasis of Hollywood www.oasisofhollywood.org/ .  The guys and the Girls will be housed in 2 different dorm- style rooms that have attached bathrooms and shower rooms for each.

Is there any financial aid available?

Unfortunately at this time we do not have any financial aid or scholarship programs available although we would like to in the future.

Does Master’s Commission Carry an Accreditation?

Masters Commission combines academics with hands on learning in many different ministries. And although Masters Commission is not accredited, some colleges accept a year of Masters Commission as the freshmen year of college.

Are Hollywood Master’s students allowed to work?

First and Second year student are not allowed to work due to the schedule of our year. Being in Hollywood MC is a Full Time job in itself!

Why no Dating while in Master’s?

The purpose of Master’s Commission is that there is a full time devotion to knowing God is a deeper and fuller way. It is too hard to give your heart 100% to God if it is given to someone else. The benefits found by this giving up of your dating life for the year had huge rewards in many facets of your life.


If I have completed my 1st year a different MC program, Can I attend Hollywood MC as a 2nd year?

We welcome 2nd year students from any MC program to apply for the coming year. We are in process of making a 2nd year application so please contact our office for more information. We will be in contact with your previous Director for a reference.
